With every release, we update the data model to better support evolving needs and new feature functionality. With this release, we’ve added the following components to the MedComms data model. These data model updates are automatically included in all MedComms Vaults, but Admins must make configuration changes to make them available. For information on feature functionality, see What’s New in 20R1.

The following components have been added to MedComms Vaults:

  • To support Medical Inquiry Email Tracking, this release adds the Case Response Email (case_response_email__v) object to all MedComms Vaults.
  • To provide greater flexibility in the Medical Inquiry data model, users can now specify whether the following standard fields are required or not required:
    • Case (case__v) object:
      • Case Contact
      • Case Priority
      • Origination Channel
    • Case Request (case_request__v) object:
      • Request Category
      • Preferred Response Method
    • Case Contact (case_contact_v object type on the person_sys object):
      • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
      • Specialty
