With every release, we update the data model to better support evolving needs and new feature functionality. With this release, we’ve added the following components to the data model. These data model updates are automatically included in all Vaults, but Admins must make configuration changes to make them available. Data Model Updates

These data model updates support features delivered in 19R3.

Added the following new objects to Claims vaults:

  • Project (project__v)
  • Project Comment (project_comment__v)
  • Claim Comment (claim_comment__v)
  • Claim Project Join (claim_project_join__v)

Additional Data Model Updates

We’ve introduced Enhanced Configurability to various components in Veeva Claims vaults:

  • The following fields for the Claim (claim__v) object:
    • Name (name__v)
    • Statement (statement__v)
    • Footnote (footnote__v)
    • Product (product__v)
  • The following fields for the Project (project__v) object: 
    • Name (name__v)
    • Description (description__v)
    • Project Manager (project_manager__v)
    • Due Date (due_date__v)
    • Start Date (start_date__v)
    • Project Type (project_type__v)
  • The following field for the Product (product__v) object:

Enhanced Configurability introduces the ability for applications to determine which field attributes in a standard object’s configuration an Admin should be able to edit. Depending on your Vault application’s data model, you may be able to edit additional settings, such as system-managed naming or if the field is required, or editing may be blocked on some of these attributes.
